Kicking off the season with a Pre-Season Tournament held on the 13th of April, it was a great event to get rangatahi keen for the season ahead. Next up was the Mid-Season Tournament a huge shout out to all who participated, we heard it was a fabulous day. Results for Secondary School teams are as follows:
Year 9A – Winner: CHS MataiRunners Up: Mount Maunganui 9B
Year 10A – Winner: HCS Rubies Runners Up: CHS Rewarewa
Secondary Senior B – Winner: FVHS Senior A Runners Up: Kawau

The next competition upcoming for Netball is the HCNC Secondary Premier and Development Tournament which is being held on Sunday 28th July. This tournament provides an opportunity for Secondary Schools to play against other schools from across the Zone and wider in preparation for UNISS. It also provides opportunities for teams to develop players for future UNISS tournaments and for mixed and male school teams from different Centre to play each other.
Then looking ahead to August, we have the Zone Premier and Development Tournament – Sunday, 11th August. Check out the links below to enter and the guidelines for the tournament. Also note the Positive Vibes poster, Waikato and Hamilton Netball are really getting behind this Sport Waikato Campaign. The goal of the campaign is to encourage, support and create a positive environment for rangatahi and the community surrounding our students in sport. So, get down to the courts and support rangatahi!
