Hamilton Girls’ High School has shaped and influenced our young women since 1911 and is a successful and highly regarded state girls school. Our school has a long association with rowing dating back to 1976, when the girls competed under the Hamilton Women’s Rowing Club that was established in 1975.
We are seeking applications for a Rowing Head Coach to develop and foster our team during the 2020-2021 Rowing Season starting September 2020 to the end of AON Maadi Cup in 2021.
Hamilton Girls’ High School Rowing program is focused on developing our young rowers as better athletes and people. You will be expected to undertake and oversee the development and coaching of rowers from novice through experienced senior level. The successful candidate will:
Have past experience in Rowing and / or coaching rowers is preferred
Depending on squad size you may oversee a small number of assistant coaches
Strong Interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
The ability to work with other entities at affiliate club level, including equipment management and training allocations
A participating member of the Hamilton Girls’ High School Rowing Team Management

Food, travel and accomodation for regattas and training camps will be covered by Hamilton Girls’ High School Rowing.
Hamilton Girls’ High School is affiliated to the Waikato Rowing Club which provides the base from which the majority of our training occurs.
Police vetting is essential. Final working hours will be negotiated.
